F.I.V.E. Program

Personal Profiles Integration Manufacturing Commissioning Re-commissioning F.I.V.E. Program FTM Program Hydraulic Repairs Flushing Disaster Recovery RFID Parts & Products Clients Partnerships Hydraulic Safety Bad Things

The F.I.V.E. Program is an integrated maintenance management system for the various fluid power systems on a drilling rig. The program utilizes the latest in filtration for integrity and RFID technology to positively identify components and associate them with specific histories and maintenance inspections and procedures.

F.I.V.E. can help your company make better decisions concerning the design, manufacturing, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of your fluid power systems.

F.I.V.E. keeps FLUIDS clean by assuring a fluid’s INTEGRITY through continuous technical sensor VERIFICATION based on sound fluid ENGINEERING principles.

Contamination of any of these fluid systems can cause production to stop on a rig and must be managed for cleanliness and function.
  • Hydraulic
  • Lube Oil
  • Fuel
  • Pneumatic
  • Cooling

Every system is essential to the operation of a rig and we can remediate contamination events quickly with high capacity filters and flushing equipment.

Hydraulic Fluids - Hydraulic fluid is the blood of any fluid power system. If the fluid becomes contaminated, the damage caused to components cascades until operations are compromised. F.I.V.E. integrates technical monitoring of the fluid and filtration to assure the operating fluid creates full operating power over the life of the system.
Fuel Tanks - Contaminated fuel can stop an entire process and create cascading damage to any internal combustion engine. The biologicals and physical contaminates in a system must be controlled. The F.I.V.E process continuously filters solids and isolates water.
Lube Oil - Contaminated lube oil can destroy any device, motor or engine that requires lubrication. The F.I.V.E process continuously filters solids and isolates water via a very effective bypass filtration system.
Cooling Systems - Hard water and dirt will work together to create scale that will ream out system seals and cause leakage and subsequent hot operations. The F.I.V.E process continuously filters solids by a very effective bypass filtration system.
Pneumatic Systems - The F.I.V.E process continuously filters solids and isolates water from the air flow and tanks via a very effective bypass  and water separation filtration system. All pneumatic driven functions on a rig will improve immediately and contribute to reliability.
RFID - If the client should choose, the F.I.V.E. Program can tag any pump, part, component, hose or tube with a Radio Frequency Identification Tag (RFID) to positively identify a system or component on an Internet database. Attached to this ID is a customizable form where the client can set inspection cycles, repair information, or location position. This makes part identification and acquisition very easy. The core of this capability is created when a client uses our Fluid Transfer Management (FTM) Program to track the pedigree of each hose and tube in a hydraulic system.
Parts Support - The F.I.V.E. Program is based on knowing what filters and parts are needed to maintain your system. Whether identified on an RFID system or cataloged by database, getting the right part is a lot easier and reduces downtime.

The F.I.V.E. Program created by FPI is designed to inventory and manage each of these fluid systems and keep them clean and functional and to minimize downtime.
